As i checked my twitter account today after i read the latest buzz of microblogging collision (plurk vs. twitter), i then noticed 9 new follower request, this include 2 of my college classmates. Its been a month that i have not check or do twitting in Twitter but i feel the same when i logged in. The boredom and too much simplicity of this site do not excite me more or this maybe because some or majority of my online and Cebu Bloggers Society friends and colleagues are residing in Plurk.



So wazzup with Twitter? After Oprah Winfrey joined Twitter, this free social messaging utility has recovered its loss (showing that 60% of Twitter users do not return to this site for the next month, as reported by A Nielsen Co.) the site has recalled 30% rate. But online traffic tracker comSCore Inc. has reported that Twitter had a 131% increase in US visitors from January to March of this year and has jumped 700% traffic jumped in February.

and oops! another thing, Twitter has their own version of Dictionary of all words that relates to twitter

It was declared last week by Yahoo Geocities team that the free webhosting service will be closed later this year. This means they will not accept any new sign ups or customers/users to use Geocities. As they confirmed, they are closing the service because they want to focus on helping customers to explore and build new relationships online in different ways.



Does this mean, they will not offering any free webhosting but a paid web hosting service through their Yahoo Small Business. hmm, is this a desperate move or what? i dont know, but as always, at the end of the day we always say and consider that Business is Business.

Are you a fan of having textmates and giving up your mobile numbers to the persons who you dont know and plugging it up on Wanted Pangga (Cebu's FM radio program) or dialing some numbers? I bet, after you will read this post, you will change your mind.



Recently, it was a buzz in Trust Digital. An attacker with correct and right toolkits and skill could hijack anyone's phone remotely by just sending SMS (short Message Service) to the device. With the Trust Digital demo on Youtube, a hijacker sends a text message to the prey phone which opens up a web browser and downloads an executable file that directs it, steals data off the phone and send an SMS to the predator's phone.

This strategy is commonly known a "Midnight Raid Attack" since it is very effective when the prey is asleep, the predator then could send a text message to the phone without the owner's knowledge.

As remembered, 3 years ago, Microsoft introduced and delivered two public Office 2007 beta, first in March 2006 and last in September. But now, Microsoft claimed that they will not provide a public viewing and download of this beta phase of application but instead the company will invite users to do the preview starting this November 2009.



Eventhough some of my colleagues here in my company are using Office 2007 and other IT professionals here and outside the country, we cannot deny that
many users prefer to have the 2003 version than the updated one, but how can Microsoft address this kind of uncertainty to these users especially when they are about to give way to the latest Application Suite which in fact people have not recovered yet to the dilemma and technological shock that Office 2007 has given.


Anyways, Microsoft said that final release of Office 2010 will be available by the first quarter or half of 2010.

I may love Office 2007 but 2003 is the best!
