Don't laugh! Yes, I'm talking about the Metro Manila Development Agency, on which Sec. Bayani Fernando leads the team. And this is not about the political side, i am pointing and clarifying what is that FDA600 gadget that the group boasted on because it can provide efficiency to MMDA agents on streets.

This gadget can identify automatically the name of Driver and other related data by just barcoding its Driver's license. In addition, it has a built-in printer and some card readers with GSM/GPRS. Early next month, or more on July 8, these gadgets will be shipped going to Philippines and the next week of that day, there would be a dummy operation using the said gadget in Metro Manila.
And the question: Can this lessen corruption to these abusive MMDA Street agents?

Energy Software: Microsoft Vs. Google
What's up with Microsoft and Google? Do you think the competition is for vying the big market share in the internet search only? Then you are definitely wrong, after Google announced its PowerMeter, which reads information coming from a smart meter and displays it real-time on a web site (in short this is a web application), Microsoft has announced Tuesday their new internet software that would help consumers measure their electricity usage and thus, they can figure out how to cut it off.

that energy conservation will serve as priority of his administration. "Microsoft Hohm demonstrates how a combination of advanced software and Internet-based services can help people track, understand and manage their personal energy usage."Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer at Microsoft, said.
Microsoft Hohm will be launched by next week and the good thing, the service will be free for all consumers but to those users who have advanced utility meters and whose utilities sign up to use the system will get more accurate and useful information.
At the end of the day, everyone will still be part of this undertakings, save energy bills.

Google and Microsoft for Outlook Plugins
Google has built this what they call Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook which is a very useful tool for users and business people to continue using some of their plugins even if they are now switching to Google Apps. In addition, the team focuses on allowing Outlook users to connect to Google Apps for business email, contacts and calendar. But the problem is, some users having plugins with their outlook cannot continue to work with the Google Apps Sync for Microsoft.

Bing: Safe Search Updates
As Bing Issues buzzed the online world last week or i may say early this week, Microsoft is now taking action on this not so good outcome of their promising search engine.
And i am talking about the Bing unblocked Porn displays in their search site. But today, according to Mike Nichols, General Manager of Bing, they have done two changes to address the issue.
First, a separate single domain was made, explicit.bing.net - this will serve as filter site for those explicit images and videos. If you think you can browse the said link, then sorry, it is invisible to us, users and if you really want to try to access such, you will be automatically redirected to its main page, bing.com
Second, Bing has now starting to display the URL source of the query string for images and video content.
HubSpot: "Twitterers do not Tweet"

Almost 50 % of users in Twitter do not follow anyone, have never tweeted and have no followers. This is according to the HubSpot Releases of June 2009 Twittersphere Report.
The report uses Twitter Grader, one of its free marketing tools that measures the power and authority of Twitter accounts.
HubSpot looked a data from more than 4.5 million Twitter users that focuses on activity levels of Twitterers. If some reviews specified that Twitter made its phenomenal growth in micro-blogging, Brian Halligan, CEO and co-founder of HubSpot said "However, the June 2009 State of the Twittersphere points out that people may not be using Twitter to its full potential. If new users aren't really engaged, should it really be considered growth?"
But for me, this latest news about twitter is true, i have an account but i never tweet! hehe, and how about you?
Facebook URLs to be changed
Yes! you heard it right. I, myself has difficulty in finding or memorizing my Facebook Home/Profile page as it includes several numbers and other characters. But now, good news has come.
Starting on Weekend, Facebook users can now change or i may say Facebook, Inc will change our URLs to a more personal revision. Thus, our actual usernames will be used for profile pages/URLs instead of their randomly chosen ID numbers. This new policy will be easier for common users especially when they are sharing their profiles to their friends, family and web barkads. Truly, Facebook fulfills its motto "Facebook helps you connect and share with the people in your life"
So much for that, if someone is searching your username or name in that social networking site, they can now visit your profile with no difficulty.
Bing unblocks Porn displays
Many years ago, as i remembered when i browsed in the net, the news said that three Search Site giants namely: Microsoft, Google and Yahoo have been sued with Copyright issue due to displaying still photos of some adult-themed sites.
This is the error receive when trying to query "Sex Videos" in Bing
Will Microsoft repeats history? Recently, the newly added Search Engine Sites, Bing of Microsoft draws a lot of negative and good feedback. But what really the issue is that Bing display sex oriented videos in its Video Search. And the worst thing, it give a snippet to videos without even leaving the Bing site and will not redirect it to the original source. And for that, Bing has become the center of issues to some Asian countries like China and some Muslim communities where the display of these sexual contents are definitely offensive
Have try to ask, Tabboo (which everyone know it relates to some sex videos) and what displays in Bing is above
Everybody knows Microsoft is making a BIG comeback with its Bing in the search Market but with the Porn issue, will it take the lead? The company need to double or triple their actions to catch up with Google having 64% of US share in the market, Yahoo with 21 % market and leaving Microsoft behind with only 8% of shares.
Bing Surpasses Yahoo!
It seems that promotion and other advertisement regarding Microsoft's Bing worked. As it overtakes Yahoo's number 2 spot as the best search engine in the US and worldwide last Thursday according to StatCounter Global Stats.
Yahoo landed in third place with a share of 10.22 % only but Microsoft Bing surpasses with 16.28 % share and as expected, Google still top all search engine market with 71.47 %.
The Microsoft Beta Bing is now online and can be used and browsed. But after i tested it several times, i found it boring which even my site did not topped the search, lols. But i like the over all presentation of the search engine in the homepage.
